ABOUT BELLTOWN FARMS
Belltown Farms owns and operates large scale farms in the US, transitioning land to USDA certified organic and operating them in line with regenerative principles. Belltown believes that regenerative farming provides an opportunity to produce healthy food, while having a positive impact on soil health, biodiversity, carbon emissions and local communities, as well as delivering compelling financial returns for investors. Belltown acquired its first farm in 2019 and aims to grow to 100,000 acres by 2029, spread across the US.
SUMMARY OF JOB
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team at our Holstein, Nebraska farm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, restocking supplies, running errands for parts and supplies and handling mail. This will start as a part-time position but has the opportunity to move to full-time. The Inventory Specialist plays a crucial part in the smooth operations of the farm by supporting various aspects of daily activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Inventory Management
a. Maintain accurate records of inventory for parts, daily consumables, PPE and other supplies.
b. Track expenses related to farm equipment, pivots, and vehicles.
c. Perform regular inventory checks and adjust stock levels as needed to meet farm operational demands.
2. Mail and receipts
a. Collect, sort and scan incoming mail.
b. Scan paper receipts for asset manager processing
3. Restocking Supplies
a. Monitor stock levels of daily consumables and other farm supplies.
b. Restock supplies as necessary to support ongoing farm operations.
c. Coordinate trips to town for restocking supplies when required.
4. Parts Runner
a. Act as parts runner when necessary, collecting parts and supplies from various locations.
5. Other Duties as Assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Driver's License
- Proven experience in inventory management, bookkeeping, or related experience.
- Previous experience and knowledge with farm operations is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
