The Facilities Assistant will carry out various tasks and services for assigned facilities to include HVAC work, plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and various other trades.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses issues related to facility assets.
- Can navigate and order parts from various vendors and websites.
- Completes walk throughs of the venues, documents all faults as work orders in the maintenance system.
- Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- continue operating properly.
- Completes work orders with other Facilities Assistants and provides help and insight into specific jobs as assigned.
- Operates independently and can plan out and complete assigned tasks each day with minimal supervision.
- Can train staff at venues to operate equipment following the manual of the respective asset.
- Makes runs to supply stores with the company van to pick up required parts and supplies for jobs and work orders.
- Ensures assigned work orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair.
- Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be comfortable on ladders and heights.
- Must be physically able to bend and crawl into awkward spaces.
- Comfortable working outdoors in inclement weather
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
