We are looking for a dedicated Practice Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and strong organizational and leadership skills. They should be adept at identifying areas for improvement and implementing plans to make those improvements. A minimum of 2 years of experience in practice management, including financial, operational, and inventory management, is required.

Salary Range: $75k - $85k/Year Plus Bonus Potential
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling, assigning employees, and following up on work results.
- Evaluates workflow inefficiencies and identifies process improvements.
- Reports regularly to the owner and medical director with current status and recommended actions. Implements clinical strategies to improve the quality of medicine.
- Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
- Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
- Keeps owner and the medical director informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports, summarizing information, and identifying trends.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Facilitates team meetings and training sessions.
- Provides historical reference by defining records retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal procedures.
- Manages Safety and Security Protocols
- Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing clinic and equipment maintenance.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Ensures Acacia Pet Clinic has a management team member available Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
- Manages staff schedules and shift coverage to ensure adequate support during hours of business operations.
- Evaluates staff performance and provides development.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation files on staff development and performance.
- Maintains clinic staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training staff members.
- Maintains staff job results by coaching, counseling, disciplining staff, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Promotes a positive work environment and fosters teamwork among staff members.
- Addresses staff concerns and escalates issues to the owner and HR team when necessary.
- Mentors/coaches support staff and provide growth and development.
- Researches strategies to further improve the patient and client experience.
- Develops standards and procedures to maximize the patient and client experience.
- Resolves client concerns or complaints related to administrative and clinical support with compassion and professionalism.
- Partners and collaborates with the team in all service areas to provide excellent service to patients and clients.
- Follows/performs any other job-related instructions and duties requested by anyone authorized to give instructions or assignments.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Veterinary Technician with at least five years of experience
- Practice Management experience (2 year minimum) required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, reaching, bending, and lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times and have physical stamina for holding/lifting moving animals.
