1. Client Communication: Interact with clients to collect necessary financial information and clarify any tax-related questions or concerns. Offer professional advice and guidance on tax deductions, credits, and strategies to minimize liabilities or maximize refunds.
2. Tax Form Preparation: Accurately prepare various tax forms, including but not limited to individual income tax returns (e.g., Form 1040), corporate tax returns (e.g., Form 1120), partnership tax returns (e.g., Form 1065), and other relevant schedules and supporting documents.
3. Compliance and Research: Stay current with tax laws, regulations, and updates to ensure accurate and compliant tax filings. Conduct research as required to address complex tax questions or unique client circumstances.
4. Data Analysis/ write up work: Review and analyze financial statements, receipts, expense records, and other supporting documentation to identify potential deductions and credits. Perform calculations and reconcile figures to ensure accuracy and completeness.
5. Software Utilization: Utilize tax preparation software and digital tools effectively to facilitate the preparation, review, and electronic filing of tax returns. Ensure data accuracy and adhere to security and privacy protocols.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a tax preparation role or relevant certification (CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Registered Tax Preparer)
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in using tax preparation software and other relevant digital tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex tax situations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and tax form preparation.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and explain tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
