The Global Quality Assurance Manager interfaces with internal product development and production teams in a fast-paced environment to review a wide variety of pre-production text and art files. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the quality and style of our brands and complying with the standards of the various licensors in Fanatics Collectible’s Sports and Entertainment portfolios. In addition, the Global QA Manager is responsible for overseeing and prioritizing the workload for a team of QA Proofreaders variously located in the United States and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Proofread and copy edit raw trading card text for grammar, spelling, company style and Licensor requirements.
- Review composed files of trading card fronts and backs for file integrity, design consistency, image quality, text formatting and printing plate registration.
- Examine intermediate stages of card proofs, to ensure that requested revisions (by Quality Assurance, internal teams or Licensors) have been accurately applied.
- Oversee licensor submission and feedback process.
- Check imposition layouts to ensure proper alignment of trading card sheets released to press.
- Perform final review of imposed trading card sheets prior to release of files to press.
- Inspect packaging art files, to ensure accuracy of information presented to consumer, based on internal content documents, legal guidelines, and Bills of Materials.
- Manage workload of a team of Quality Assurance Proofreaders to ensure timely and accurate reviews.
Requirements
- Outstanding attention to textual and graphic detail, and ability to incorporate extensive Licensor style guides.
- Mastery of English (U.S. and King’s) grammar, and adaptability to occasional use of European language formats.
- Flexibility to adapt to variable styles and requirements of assorted Sports (MLB, UEFA Champions League, Bundesliga, Formula 1, UFC, MLS) and Entertainment (Star Wars, Garbage Pail Kids) properties.
- Extensive knowledge and familiarity with Sports and Pop Culture terminology, jargon, and vernacular.
- Multi-tasking capability to manage assignments across multiple projects, and maintain priorities within a steady daily workflow.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, web browser-based interfaces, and Macintosh OS.
- Experience in managing a team in terms of leadership, guidance and prioritization.
Bachelors degree or equivalent in related field preferred.

In NYC, the salary range for this position is $107,000- $134,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. This salary range is specific to NYC and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
