Position Summary
Provides interpersonal, technical and manual nursing care, within the scope of practice as outlined by the California Board of Nursing under the direction of a licensed physician or Registered Nurse.
Essential Duties:
- LVN performs basic health and psychosocial assessments
- LVN provides input to and implements medical care plans as ordered.
- Performs nursing tasks, procedures, and interventions authorized by a valid physician’s order.
- LVN collects and processes specimens for testing per physician orders.
- Collects, documents and reports patient data, care and treatment, and health status in a timely and accurate manner.
- Receives physician orders and administers all medications and treatments within scope of practice and agency procedure.
- LVN maintains safe, hygienic environment within medical facilities.
- Provides patient education.
- Safely and properly uses all medical equipment.
- Ensure patients fulfill all outside medical appointments, transporting as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess and maintain valid California Vocational Nurse License.
- BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers and Certificate of Blood Withdrawal from a California BVNPT - approved provider within sixty days of hire.
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
- Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
