Asphalt Green is hiring energetic and knowledgeable Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) instructors to lead youth and adult classes at our Upper East Side location (1750 York Ave. and E 91st Street). . Instructors must be available 5 days a week (weekday evenings and weekends TBD) and possess a BJJ purple belt or higher. Candidates should be able to teach participants of all ages and fitness levels, foster a positive community, and perform physical activities. The hourly rate is $40-$60 depending on experience.
Responsibilities:

Effectively instruct BJJ techniques to youth and adult groups with varying skill and fitness levels.

Foster a positive and inclusive community for all participants.

Demonstrate proper movements and actively participate in classes.

Identify and correct movement flaws promptly with minimal cues.

Assist with setup, breakdown, and movement of class equipment (up to 50 lbs.).

Perform physical activities such as running, jumping, bending, balancing, and weight-bearing movements.
Qualifications

Must have 3 years of martial arts experience; advanced or black belt

Must be flexible to adapt and meet students needs

Must have excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents
