Job Summary:
The position is responsible for maintaining the facilities’ production equipment, systems and ensuring the smooth and efficient utilization and operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. As a maintenance team member, you will perform various types of work to achieve production safety, quality, cost, and operational efficiencies. This will include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, electrical systems, and operator interface terminals. Duties may also involve inspecting, installing, and testing new equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial components such as motors, variable AC drives, PLCs, servos, sensors, belting, pumps, bearing and switches.
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial pneumatic and hydraulic system components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and solenoids.
- Maintain required repair and work logs.
- Keep up-to-date machinery history reports to include repairs, parts exchanges, modifications, any results found through troubleshooting, etc.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Achieve targeted performance standards on equipment through reduced equipment downtime.
- Prioritize repairs to meet efficiencies and needs of the manufacturing plant through communication with production supervisors and management.
- Provide routine preventative maintenance as scheduled on equipment and work with production personnel to maintain and improve quality.
- Perform some parts fabrication.
- Monitor and report on project progress.
- Work with production personnel to maintain and improve quality.
- Perform facility maintenance work as needed.
- Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Follow and adhere to local, state, and federal OSHA safety and health guidelines.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintain shop area, parts, tools, and supplies.
Requirements:
- 5 years of maintenance experience required.
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work any required schedule needed for the facility needs.
- Heavy lifting may be required. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds alone, up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and capabilities.
- Must be detail oriented and possess a working knowledge of industry specific information.
- Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC knowledge.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read equipment manuals and follow sequence of repairs outlined by the manufacturer.
- Hands on experience with specialty tools and mechanical repairs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
