We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to update and maintain information on our company databases and computer systems.
Data entry operator responsibilities include entering data in databases and maintaining accurate records of valuable company information. Our ideal candidate has essential data entry skills with an eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Transfer customer and account data from paper formats into computer database system by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
- Prepare, verify, and process invoices for sales or services rendered
- Enter data on invoices; ensure proper coding on documents
- Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities and check output by comparing it to source documents
- Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
- Scan documents and print files, when needed
- Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
- Keep information confidential
- Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
- Requirements
- Data entry experience
- Experience with MS Office and data programs
- Fast Typing Skills
- Familiarity with administrative duties
- Experience using office equipment, like fax machine and scanner
- Typing speed and accuracy
- Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Attention to detail
- Confidentiality
- Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
