Position Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual with a strong background in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, sports medicine, athletic training or a combination of these to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to engage and motivate students ages 12 - 17 while demonstrating patience and excellent instructional skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction in exercise science, incorporating elements of fitness plan design, best practices on nutrition guidance, and proper movement technique.
- Develop and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs and objectives of Brothers Building Blocks.
- Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for all students, particularly beginners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Ensure safety and proper technique during all sessions.
Qualifications
- Proficient in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, sports medicine, athletic training with practical experience.
- Strong understanding of exercise science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and adaptability when working with new students.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated to inspire others.
Preferred
- Previous experience in teaching exercise science classes or similar disciplines.
- Relevant certifications in fitness, exercise science, athletic training, or similar disciplines.
The Exercise Science Instructor will be expected to work in-person at a partner school.
