The Department of Anesthesiology at Stark Neuroscience Research Institute/Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking candidates at the Associate or Full Professor levels for a tenure-track position. We are seeking individuals whose research programs will complement existing strengths in acute and chronic pain, neuroinflammation, and systemic inflammation. We are especially interested in individuals whose research interests emphasize neuroimmune and neurovascular mechanisms underlying cerebrovascular inflammation in mammalian models of sepsis and/or vascular cognitive impairment and dementia (VCID). Competitive candidates will have current NIH (or similar) funding, a history of team science collaborations resulting in publications and/or funding, and be keen to establish clinical collaborations with SNRI faculty in the Center for Neurovascular Research. Evidence of the successful mentorship of graduate students, undergraduates, medical students, and residents is essential to the teaching mission of the department. PhD required.
