Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager is the highest-level position within the QA department responsible for ensuring and facilitating the continuous flow of conforming product through the production process. This position encompasses various elements of mechanical inspection and quality auditing.
Essential Functions:
1. Create and maintain CMM programs and all related setup instructions, inspection reports and fixturing programs will be created from the model or drawings.
2. Provide relevant job training as needed to the QA Coordinator, QA Technician and Mechanical Inspectors.
3. Work directly with the Production Supervisor and the Shipping Coordinator on a daily basis to determine parts needed to ship and expedite them through QA. Coordinate the work of the QA Technician(s) to achieve this.
4. Oversee the use and return of all company-owned inspection equipment.
5. Work directly with the Receiving Coordinator and suppliers to obtain missing or incorrect supplier documents, as required.
6. Serve as a mentor to floor personnel to assist them in completing common tasks (data collection, filling out QA documentation, understanding quality expectations, etc.).
7. Measure and maintain supplier performance and issue results to the suppliers, Dynamic Design Engineering department, and purchasing.
8. Work directly with the Production Supervisor and Engineering to evaluate and disposition nonconforming material.
9. Work directly with customer and supplier QA and/or Engineering personnel to resolve specific quality-related issues or challenges.
10. Facilitate calibration of inspection equipment that requires outside calibration (CMMs, surface plates, counting scales, etc.). Oversee the calibration of all inspection equipment, both company and employee owned.
11. Compile and distribute monthly & quarterly nonconformance data to upper management.
12. Perform internal audits of the quality management system as required per the internal audit schedule.
13. Perform routine first article and final inspection duties as needed (e.g., when the QA Technician is absent or as workload dictates).
14. Ensures that Quality orientation occurs for all new employees.
15.Conducts new trainings and/or refresher courses for ISO9001-2015 and AS 9100 on a yearly basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
