Qantas First and OneWorld Lounges by Accor at Los Angeles International Airport is looking for reliable and hardworking cooks to join our Team.
Working as part of the kitchen team, this position involves food preparation and presentation with flair for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for A la Carte, functions and buffet service. You will be providing guests with an unparalleled dining experience therefore you should understand the importance of food safety, stock control and kitchen hygiene.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Maintains a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.
2. Keep all working areas clean and tidy.
3. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.
4. Report any problems to the Executive Chef. Assist and liaise with chef on duty as required.
5. Be familiar with other areas in the Kitchen so when called upon, assistance can be provided
Requirements:
Experience in an upscale or hotel environment is desirable.
Californian Food Handlers Certification along with culinary training from a recognized provider.
Previous cooking experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel or events catering is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure proper stock rotation, understanding detailed recipes and a strong relationship with front of house teams.
Flexibility in regards to your work availability is essential, as the Lounge operates 7 days a week, including public holidays.
The ability to obtain appropriate police clearance in order to work in restricted work areas of the airport.
