Director of Revenue Cycle
Southern California TMS Center (SoCal TMS) is a multi-site psychiatric practice seeking an experienced and full-time Director of Revenue Cycle to join our growing team. Primary focus will be on annual insurance contracting negotiation and application; managing Billing Department Team personnel and activities.
Job Duties:
- Work closely with our executive team to assess, create, and implement billing procedures, compiling and submitting reports on company A/R trends and cash flow forecasting.
- Audit and reconcile A/P and A/R
- Oversee and manage any outside audit requests
- Oversee the operations and development of our billing department (verification of benefits team, medical billers, and collections) includes creating and reviewing policies/protocols and creating/conducting billing department QA regularly.
- Management of our billing department staff, includes but not limited to weekly meetings with the entire department and addressing their needs as well as areas for improvement and growth.
- Serve as point of contact between company departments on billing/contracting as well as patient benefit items.
- Manage any escalated patient billing and or benefit matters.
- Partner with Clinical Directors to develop new protocols/procedures to streamline billing processes, as well as coach the clinical team on all aspects of their role which impacts company finances.
- Partner with Executive Director on insurance contract items, including but not limited to investigating fee schedules, ensure contractual billing compliance, credentialing support, and advising single case agreements.
- Manage and implement EMR software integrations, if applicable
Our ideal candidate should be able to efficiently multi-task, be able to work independently and cohesively with their team, have excellent organizational and critical thinking skills, and be able to interface with our patients and staff in the utmost professional and effective manner.
Your team will consist of our Billing Manager, Verification of Benefits Lead, and Claims Specialist, plus their team members (7 staff members total). Your position will be onsite and based out of our Pasadena headquarters.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or closely related field. Masters degree is a plus!
- 5-10 years personnel management experience in a financial role within the healthcare field
- 5-10 years department management in a financial role within the healthcare field
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare accounting and billing practices, compliance, and principles, and Electronic Medical Record systems (Valant and Epic a plus)
- Proficient in MS Office

Annual Salary: $90,000-$110,000 DOE
