Position Summary
Responsible to the Program Director/Medical Director. Assist with but not limited to, the following task:
- Performs the functions of a Licensed Practical Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating assigned clients’ care in collaboration with the Clinical supervisor/RN and Physician in the clinical care.
- Responsible for all charts and charting which includes chart order, reviews and other responsibilities related to charts.
- Administers medications to clients as ordered, including injections after obtaining informed consent and/or patient teaching.
- Responsible for all doctor’s orders; completing lab forms, assisting the doctors with physical exams for both programs. (Alcohol and Drug)
- Responsible for reporting to Clinical Supervisor all admissions on the day of admission.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Approved Licensed Practical Nurse course with valid Georgia license. Experience in a health care setting and a minimum of two years supervisory experience. Ability to communicate effectively. Experience in a Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health facility a plus. Bilingual a plus.
