Install, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, using knowledge of welding techniques, and ensure smooth operation of structural systems.
• Plans, prepares, and maintains structural systems composed of various materials
• Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to complete work based on specifications
• Gathers equipment and materials for the job
• Complies with applicable safety regulations and best practices, including all OSHA regulations
• Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details
• Assists with training of new hires
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Ability to follow work orders.
• Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Minimum 3 years’ experience required.
• Welding certification preferred
• Can tolerate prolonged periods standing, bending and stretching
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
• Must possess visual acuity required to inspect and read plans
