Job Summary:
As a Material Handler at Metal-Matic, you will performs duties to transport various types of parts and materials within the plant premises.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts safety inspection of load slings, cranes and forklift before operating. Reports all concerns to shift Supervisor.
- Operates overhead crane and forklift with utmost care and safety.
- Does not move loads over employees’ heads.
- Hook and unhook all lifts of material so that lifts are balanced properly.
-
Communicate with machine operators to ensure timely delivery and removal of material to ensure maximum through put.
- Check bundle tag information to verify that it matches the order requirements at the machine needing material.
- Check Apollo scheduling system to ensure the next order is ready for Machine operators. If it is not, report it to the shift Supervisor.
- Dump all scrap and rubbish boxes into large hoppers.

Using Manual and Power banding tools, assist in the banding and boxing of tubing.

Refer concerns about tubing quality or equipment conditions to the shift Supervisor.

Communicate with employees on the other shifts regarding the status of operations, equipment, and special assignments, etc.

Maintain a SAFE, CLEAN, and ORGANIZED work area.

Various other duties as directed by shift Supervisor
