Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Housekeeper to join our brand new hotel team. As an Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the housekeeping operations in our hotel. Your attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills will ensure that our guests have a clean and comfortable stay.
Duties:
- Supervise and train housekeeping staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of guest requests and maintenance issues
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and maintenance
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any repairs or maintenance needs
- Handle guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally
-Prepare and communicate weekly schedules for associates and vendors based upon occupancy and hotel needs. Assign duties accordingly.
-Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to ensure supplies are purchased in a timely manner.
-Prepare required paperwork pertaining to departmental functions.
-Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
-Work with General Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the department or the hotel.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in housekeeping management
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar role is required
- Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, including floor care, industrial cleaning, and custodial practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
