The Broker Service Representative II works directly with clients, carrier partners, fellow service team members and Customer Engagement Managers to match the needs of our clients with the right deliverables from Claremont's ("our" or "the Company's") menu of services. As a BSR 11, you will provide those services, with responsibility for ensuring they meet the Company's standards for quality, consistency and timeliness.

Essential Duties:
- Maintain and continually add skills and knowledge so you can execute the functional tasks of a broker services representative in at least two of the three key service areas: Quoting, Eligibility Determination and Application Processing (Underwriting), Enrollment Support (during the plan year)
- Responsible for meeting our quality, consistency and timeliness standards in all services provided.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of our products and services.
- Demonstrate knowledge of our carrier partners' products, features and benefits.
- Serve customers professionally and thoughtfully.
- Conduct enrollment meeting presentations both virtually and in-person.
- Train and mentor less experienced staff.
- Work with directly with carrier partners.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of small group benefits products in California, market segments, rates, underwriting guidelines, submission requirements and other administrative requirements.
- High willingness to adopt, learn and integrate technology into the execution of essential job duties.
- Customer service techniques and skills.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Very comfortable using software platforms such as: quoting engines (like HealthConnect), Office Productivity (like Microsoft Office suite), document creation/editing (such as Acrobat), document management (such as Box), CRM (such as Salesforce), online meeting platforms (such as Zoom) and benefits administration (such as Ease).
- Familiarity with basic business equipment and tools including: cell phone, voicemail, and personal computer/laptop.
- Knowledge of fundamental business protocols including but not limited to alpha filing, telephone etiquette, email, instant messaging, online meeting/presentation etiquette, documentation, record keeping and basic quality assurance techniques.
- Knowledge of routine business communication methods such as the style and format of letters, emails, memoranda, meeting notes and reports.
Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of post-secondary education, and/or 3 to 5 years in customer services position in which similar knowledge, skills and abilities were utilized.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Health Insurance industry working at a brokerage/agency, general agency or carrier is required.
- Department of Insurance Health/Life License required.
- Fluent in Spanish (written and oral) preferred.
- Travel may be required by car. Proof of insurance and a clean Department of Motor Vehicles record will be required.
Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions Requirements:
- Consistent and reliable performance and good attendance.
- Work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Effectively manage moderate stress, including regular workload and deadlines.
- Communicate in a cooperative and constructive manner.
- Ready to lift and carry items approximately 10 - 15 pounds in weight.
- Ability to stand or sit at a desk workspace for extended periods of time.
