The role of the Senior Secondary Markets Analyst is to implement continuous improvement for Secondary Marketing, Product & Pricing, Loan Delivery and reporting activities for Mortgage Lending in accordance with internal lending policies and procedures, guidelines, and lending systems. Analyze, assess, and execute mortgage loan locks, commitments, sales, and hedge reporting. A successful Senior Secondary Markets Analyst will build a cohesive team of personnel, effectively coach secondary and lock pipeline management, assisting with regulatory compliance and maintain service level objectives. Will manage escalations as required.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Partner with Senior Mortgage Leadership to maintain high morale, productivity, production, and Member service across Mortgage Services.

Build and nurture strong relationships across Mortgage Services and ABSM’S to influence desired outcomes and achieve organizational goals.

Demonstrate ABSM’S leadership standards through support for our culture and values.

Collaborate with the COO to develop and execute secondary markets strategy and long-term growth plan to gain market share.

Serve as a thought leader while collaborating with business colleagues to achieve organizational objectives

Ensures accurate and meticulous data input of lock information into our LOS (Encompass) database including trade and pricing information related to sales of mortgage loans.

Locks loans with investors and monitors and maintains pipeline, researching and completing re-locks, lock revisions and lock extension requests in a timely and professional manner.

This person will enforce ABSM’s Rate Lock Policy and work closely with Loan Officers, Operation staff and Secondary Market counterparties.

Provides support to shipping and post-closing departments.

Offer recommendations and work collaboratively to streamline and improve processes and perform other related duties as assigned.

Helps maintain and administer company online pricing systems.

Assist in the pricing of loans with investors to find the best execution.

Oversee and guide daily analysis of the mortgage pipeline to determine strategy and execution of hedging needs to manage interest rate and price risk.

Monitor the secondary mortgage market including the financial markets, agency and non-agency mortgage markets, and primary and secondary markets.

Supervise allocation of loans and delivery of investor commitments by setting and maintaining standards of performance to ensure all loans are delivered in the most profitable manner and within guidelines.

Enhance and maintain portfolio reporting, including daily origination reports, monthly closed loan, monthly income, fallout, and pull-through, to assist in managing Mortgage Lending strategy.

Serve as a primary contact for investors, including Fannie Mae, FHLB, private investors, and broker-dealer relationships regarding all aspects of the loan delivery relationship.

Identify new investors and/or broker-dealer relationships and onboard.

Oversee the execution of the mandatory delivery, trading and/or hedging activity associated with the origination/purchase and sale of mortgage loans.

Routinely explore delivery options that best meet ABSM’S’s needs.

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Complete required regulatory training as assigned.

Maintain strict adherence and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations, and internal controls specific to the role, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree.
-
Securitization of GSE and/or Ginne Mae loans experience.

At least five (5) years’ experience within a complex mortgage lending operation.

Must have solid knowledge of pricing and sales of mortgage loans into secondary market.

Technical proficiency with a high-level knowledge of computer systems, including Encompass and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

Expert knowledge of agency and government loan programs, including FNMA/FHLMC, and FHA/VA.

Pay Range: USD $100,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
