Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT, or EMTI) to join our team as the agency administrative and operations officer. North Gilliam Medic is the ambulance provider for north Gilliam County. Gilliam County is very rural (Frontier) with the closest hospital 50 miles away. Our district includes the north end of Gilliam County, 33mi of busy I-84, 20mi of Hwy 19, Waste Management waste, and chemical disposal sites, and the city of Arlington. We are a local government County Health District. Our small rural ambulance service is staffed during the week, and on-call in the evenings, and weekends. As an AEMT, or EMT-I, you will be encouraged, and expected to operate to the full extent of your scope. NGM operates a Paramedic quick response vehicle (QRV), dispatched at the same time as the ambulance, in case ALS care is needed, but you will usually be the primary provider. After hours and weekend overtime will be required. You will also oversee all aspects of agency administration and operations.
