Motif on Music Row is a modern boutique hotel in the heart of Nashville. It features 133 all-suite rooms with comfortable living spaces and full kitchens, as well as a myriad of amenities. With a planned opening date in late December, 2023, we are looking for the perfect Housekeeping/Room Attendant team who will join our team and partner with us to deliver consistent and stellar guest service and keep this beautiful new hotel running flawlessly, with fully-satisfied guests who want to return, again and again.

About the Hotel
Our innovative seven floor hotel is built on the previous location of United Artists Tower – a recording and business space owned by members of Elvis Presley’s own backup band, The
Jordanaires. Now, it is a refined, relaxing place for guests to call home while in Nashville. The hotel features a third-floor rooftop pool and cabanas, spacious two and three bedroom suites to accommodate larger parties, an onsite dog washing station (coming in the future), a yoga studio, a fitness center, valet parking, and a ground-level retail space where we plan to find the perfect restaurant to partner with.
We are making it a priority to preserve and honor the property’s unique history through the hotel’s name, theme, interior design elements, and more. We also take pride at all of our hotels in partnering with and giving back to the community.
About You
We are in search of skilled Housekeepers/Room Attendants who share our enthusiasm for Nashville's vibrant culture and possess a deep understanding of what makes a hotel successful. Skills that will help you succeed in this role include:
- Sweep and mop floors
- vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies
- dust and polish furniture and fittings
- clean metal fixtures and fittings
- empty and clean trash containers
- dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
- clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
- wipe down glass surfaces
- make up beds and change linens as required
- tidy up rooms
- wash windows as scheduled
- operate mechanized cleaning equipment
- maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
- monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
In addition to general housekeeping tasks the housekeeper duties in a hotel environment will include:
- clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators and lounges as well as guest rooms
- organize work schedule from the room status list, arrivals and departures
- distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand
- restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies
- replace dirty linens with clean items
- inspect and turn mattresses regularly
- store all dirty laundry in line with company policy
- monitor guest laundry bags
- replace laundry bags and slips
- check all appliances in rooms are in working order
- realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
- respond to guest queries and requests
- respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
- deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms
- organize and restock cart at the end of the shift
- ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
- follow all company safety and security procedures
- report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
- observe and report damage of hotel property
Knowledge and Experience
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
- knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
- working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
- physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
- ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)
