JOB TITLE: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia
DEPARTMENT: Nursing
JOB SUMMARY: Performs the primary functions of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in nursing. Manages all supplies and equipment and supervises all personnel on the units and promotes team efforts with physicians and personnel of other departments. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Holds current state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Texas, and complies with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing.
B. Education: Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
C. Complies with one of the following requirements regarding certification eligibility, initial certification, or recertification:
a. Is currently certified by the Council on Certification of Nurses Anesthetists or its predecessor; or
b. Is currently recertified by the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.
D. Personal Job-Related Skills: Demonstrated ability in nursing practice. Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communication skills.
E. BCLS Certification and ACLS completion card.
F. Prior Work Experience: Two years experience as a Registered Nurse. One year of supervisory experience.
G. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require moderate physical activity. Extended periods of standing and walking. Bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and lifting to 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients who may suddenly become weak or helpless.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
