JOB TITLE: Restaurant Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage
REPORTS TO: Hotel General Manager and Food & Beverage Manager
SUMMARY:
In this role, you will be asked to perform a variety of functions. This starts with providing our guests with a consistently high-quality dining experience. To do this, you will need to motivate our staff and demonstrate superior customer service skills. Manage the operation of restaurant including the daily decision-making, staff performance, customer interaction and satisfaction, planning, product quality and cleanliness. Assist with the operational efficiency and profitability of all restaurant operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Coordinates multiple tasks while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities.
· Ensures the consistent planning, production, preparation, and prompt delivery service and food.
· Ensures that all customers are completely satisfied. Resolves customer service issues to the customer’s satisfaction.
· Provides direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues including training.
· Oversee both front and back of house operations, including curator service staff and kitchen crew
· Ensures that proper cash handling procedures are followed. Balances cash on hand at the end of the day.
· Prepares reports at end of shifts that may include but not limited to: daily labor control, daily food control, and daily sales.
· Regularly measures and evaluates service standards. Provides, teaching and coaching when service is not executed to standards
· Ensures ongoing sales
· Responsible for the approval and coding of all invoices on a daily basis.
· Resolve product issues. At minimum any or all product issues need to be communicated to direct report
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supervises Rye Deli & Drink Restaurant, and staff.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
· Responsibilities include: interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
· Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
· Maintains a valid Driver’s License
· Chicago Sanitation and Basset Certification

· Hot liquids and chemical cleaning solutions are present and must be carefully handled.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
