Established in 2022, the Institute on Digital Health and Innovation (IDHI) within the Florida State University College of Nursing promotes individual health, public health, and health equity through collaborative and synergistic partnerships for the development, evaluation, and dissemination of digital health tools, technologies, and innovations. The mission of IDHI is to advance digital health science, technologies, and tools focused on solving real world needs of patients, providers, and populations through research, training, and innovation to maximize health and eliminate health inequities.

IDHI serves as the Scientific Leadership Center (SLC) for the ATN, which brings together all elements of the network and ensures that they function collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently with the Operations and Collaborations Center, NIH, and the overall network. The SLC also includes the Statistical and Data Management Core (SDMC), which provides the network with expertise in study design, statistical analysis, data collection, and data management.
The Director of Research Operations will operate as a member of the ATN and IDHI teams by overseeing and optimizing the design, implementation, and evaluation of research activities for digital health studies led by IDHI faculty and ATN investigators. The range of responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: overseeing resource allocation across research projects, including personnel, budget, and equipment; evaluating existing research processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains; and leading and mentoring a team of research professionals by providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Other duties will include, but are not limited to: fostering collaboration and communication across research teams, as well as with other FSU departments such as finance, HR, and IT; evaluating and implementing technology solutions to support research operations, such as project management tools, data management systems, and collaboration platforms; developing and executing strategic plans to drive continuous improvement and alignment with institutional/organizational goals.
