Full-Time (40 hours weekly)
Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Accomplishes patient care in a timely, professional, efficient and safe manner - presenting the detailed preliminary report to the interpreting physician (Radiologist).
The Lead Sonographer role and responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain Ultrasound department written protocols, provide oversight for the assessment of sonography examinations performed within the department for technical and image quality standards, maintain ACR certification, and function as the clinical, technical leader/expert in sonography imaging within the imaging department. The Lead Sonographer's activities are performed consistent with their education and training and per facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards.
Education:
Successful completion of a accredited Ultrasonography program
ARDMS certification required
Experience:
Three years previous experience (lead experience preferred)
