Job Summary:
Perform work assignments related to the installation, maintenance and repair of CNC machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical/electronic systems. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, machine tools, process lines, production machines and equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support site-wide capital program with input for obsolescence planning as well as new equipment sourcing.
- Assist with advanced machine/equipment repair abilities.
- Assist with advanced repair in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronic, and plumbing.
- Experience and knowledge of operating machine tools.
- Read and interpret complex equipment and operation instructions to perform repairs.
- Diagnose and repair Program Logic Controls (PLC) with minimal assistance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment and a variety of other controls with minimal assistance.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers, wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment with little or no direction.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment with little or no direction.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment and property.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Works safely and actively participates in all plant safety directives while adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Other assignments as required.
- Infrequent travel required.
Competencies Required:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Building and/or Equipment Maintenance role.
- Preventative Maintenance system experience.
- High School Diploma or GED
