Summary
Leading equipment distribution company with branches located in Kansas City, Springfield and St. Louis with a large established customer base requires a Service Technician/Electrical Repair Specialist for our St. Louis, MO branch. This position will work directly with the company’s parts staff, service staff, and sales team to support and assist our customer base with their CCTV service needs, trouble shooting, PDI of new units, and installation of all CCTV equipment sold out of ST. Louis location. This position will also assist the service department with other trouble shooting, repairs, and PDI of new units out of the STL facility. This position supports Key Equipment’s strategy to continue our growth in the contractor and municipal segment of our business. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all customer communications regarding all CCTV activity within the St. Louis branch. This position will be responsible for customer interaction and communication within our service facility on all CCTV activities. The successful candidate will greet customers, listen to their concerns and address inquiries as necessary, write reports of vehicle/equipment conditions, and delivers information to Key Equipment’s service manager and management team. The Service Technician/Electrical Repair Specialist will be responsible for all outbound communication to the customer regarding their repairs and needs. This position will also assist the Service Manager with other electronic repairs within the department on other pieces of non-CCTV equipment. Must be able to work synergistically with others to make sure the customer experience with the CCTV service department is excellent. A successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as with the internal team to achieve company goals. Must enjoy working in a fast-paced company environment where teamwork, multi-tasking, a positive attitude, and initiative are paramount for overall success. This position will also be responsible for checking in and out a rental equipment fleet. Along with checking in, the successful candidate will be responsible for testing returned equipment for operations, making sure all of the parts and tools are returned in good working order, assessing the unit for cleanings, and reporting any damaged or issues to the Service Manager. Service Technician/Electrical Repair Specialist

o Take detailed notes with regards to customer’s vehicle/equipment issues and concerns
o Ability to communicate with employees and customers effectively and timely
o Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter
o Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite and have the ability to communicate both verbally and written to customer base and team members
o Learn and apply practical field knowledge
o Have a strong mechanical knowledge of all CCTV inspection equipment and other electrical components
o Have a mechanical ability to repair all CCTV Inspection equipment and other electrical components
o Be a leader in marketplace, known as a knowledgeable resource and asset
o Assist in supporting Key Equipment’s PM programs
o Limit customer downtime due to service or parts delays with full communication
o Set up of new customers in the company system if needed
o Report billable hours and invoicing needs to the accounting department
o Assist with inventory counts and year end reports
o Answer service area phone and schedule appointments for CCTV equipment
o Explain the customers bill in detail to satisfaction to both Key Equipment and the customer
o Explain terminology and the nature of the work completed to the customer
o Follow-up with customer daily during the time of repair and up to three days after completion
o Work with the branches service manager on any other service request, service needs, and warranties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
