Description:
Provides assistance with and facilitates HR processes, programs and projects for all firm locations. This role provides administrative support to the HR team and general day-to-day operational responsibilities related to on-boarding, employment data changes, benefits administration, and learning and development.
Organizational Relationship
Reports directly to HR Manager in support of all firm HR administration and interacts directly with the Firm Administrator, all partners, and employees of HAC.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Administers the on-boarding process including I-9 verification and E-Verify, pre-employment checks, new hire announcements and personnel file preparation.

Assists in the coordination and delivery of new hire training, summer leadership program, and any other HR training or recruiting initiative.

Assists in CPE tracking and completes any data entry requirement in Checkpoint.

Administers change management in HRIS.

Administers PTO and benefit plans in compliance with plan provisions and firm policy including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers in resolving benefits-related issues.

Maintains confidential personnel files, including preparation of new-employee files, accurate HRIS data entry and filing of documents into appropriate employee files in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Performs monthly reconciliation of PTO and benefits invoices to ensure accurate payment to carriers.

Coordinates employee exit process, including benefits termination, internal notification to IT, and separation notices as required.

Coordinates annual submission of Confidentiality and Integrity documents for all employees yearly.

Assists HR Manager in administration of HAC policies and procedures, keeping Handbook up to date and assisting employees with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.

Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment.

Appropriate new hire materials including new hire swag box, business cards, name tags, etc.

Provides administrative support to HR Director, HR Manager, and partners as needed.

Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all firm records and information.

Leads by example, actively reinforcing HAC’s Values through words, actions, and implementation of policy.

What You Need to Succeed

High School GED equivalency required; Degree in HR, Business or related field strongly preferred.

Must have valid Driver’s License.

1+ of HR experience that also includes benefits administration, onboarding, HRIS management; professional services industry experience preferred.

Basic understanding of employment law.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. HRIS experience with ADP preferred.

Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task.
