Join out growing Logistics team! You will work to build carrier relationships in order to secure capacity for freight services. You will be successful in this role by evaluating multiple options to move each freight lane and by making competitive high service choices. This role will be working with carriers and winning day-to-day opportunities with the goal of converting them to long-term sustained wins. This dynamic role requires you to make consistent proactive decisions and to be adaptable.
As a Carrier Sales Representative you will:
- Build strong relationships with Carriers
- Understand our Carrier network and discover mutually beneficial opportunities
- Increase freight movements per day
- Negotiate contract/spot and pricing agreements with carriers.
- Partner with Sales and Carriers to successfully manage schedules
- Manage multiple deliveries, process spot requests and develop new sales strategies to improve business
- Use professional communication to resolve issues
- Set carriers up through PTI’s Carrier Qualification Process
- Thrive in fast paced environment
- Be decisive under pressure
