Job Overview:
Provides technical support to R&D Engineers and performs catheter assembly, prototyping, testing, and helps create assembly procedures. Assists engineers in new product development in all aspects of designs, manufacturability, and quality. Flexibility to adapt to sudden changes to different kind of work schedules and task.
Responsibilities:
· Performs general catheter assembly using laboratory tools and microscopes.
· Support R&D catheter builds and production build catheter as necessary.
· Build early-stage prototyping catheters and provide inputs to engineers as necessary.
· Assists with development of manufacturing processes and corresponding design transfer to production.
· Supports R&D in device testing to inform design and/or process updates.
· Participate in the development and testing of new concepts.
· Work from schematics, diagrams, drawings, solid models, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting functions.
· Sets up and operates test equipment. Records data with limited supervision.
· Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
· Conduct tests of completed units or components under operational conditions to investigate designs or to obtain data for development.
· Document test results in accordance with good laboratory practices and analyze the results
Education:
· High school or equivalent with 3 or more years of relevant experience.
Required Experience:
· 3+ years of experience in medical device industry.
· Hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing / production environment or prototyping experience.
· Use of measurement devices and required safety equipment when performing lab work.
Preferred Experience:
· Knowledge of catheter manufacturing equipment.
· Knowledge of catheter testing equipment.
· Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
· Must also verbally communicate work to engineers and other staff in a clearly understood, organized and logical manner.
· Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and laboratory practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,800.00 - $83,200.00 per year
