Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
Picks up and delivers laboratory specimens to the Laboratory in a timely period. 3.Ensure all patient specimen handling guidelines are met during pickup, transport and delivery .
Prioritizes STAT pickups, and ensures that these are picked up and delivered to the lab as soon as possible.
Delivers supplies and other designated items to clients and off-campus EMC locations
Delivers mail to designated EMC departments
Delivers all laboratory result reports to client offices before noon
Successfully completes annual Drivers Safety Course and Golf Cart Safety Netlearning Module.
Ensures that HIPAA regulations are met during all phases of transport of specimens and reports.
Has read and understands transportation/courier procedures.
Safely operates assigned vehicle and maintains routine care, including having vehicle washed as needed, and keeping the interior clean and free of clutter.
Notifies Laboratory Support Supervisor of any changes with clients (address, MDs, etc.)
Completes daily “LT Route Stops and Specimen Pick-up Log” & submitted weekly to client service
Announces STAT arrival to Specimen Processing staff, and ensures acknowledgement by staff member.
Ensures copy of transportation manual is maintained and in the truck with policies/procedures, routes, med staff roster. Ensures safety kit and accident kit are available and maintained.
Completes log sheet in receiving when picking up supplies for off campus sites.
