Salary: $75,836.80 - $110,011.20
Job Overview
Prepares recommended budget for the department to ensure proper funding. Provides financial and operating reports that accurately reflect the activities of department programs involving federal and state grant applications and locally budgeted funds for affordable housing.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 3-5 Year grant management/accounting experience
- Familiar with Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership, and State Housing Initiative Partnership rules and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Possess time management, organizational, reporting, and analytical skills
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion when applying policies and procedures
- Be an effective managers/team leader and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, internal and external customers
- Good oral and written communication skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting economics, Business Administration, or related field.; AND
- 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance; OR
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below. (For education and experience only, does not include legally required Licenses or Certifications.); AND
- Possession of a current Florida Driver's License.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares recommended budget to ensure appropriate allocation.
- Plans and manages fiscal activities to meet objectives and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversees the processing and verification of invoices for operating expenditures and contract payments.
- Directs the preparation of various grant status reports to state and federal agencies.
- Provides expertise concerning funding sources, contracts, and application requirements.
- Recommends funding award and rating for grant applications.
- Oversees the asset management process within the fiscal division.
- Other related duties as assigned.
