Put your extraordinary technical skills to work as a Veterinary Technician at our new hospital in Philadelphia in the Spring Garden Neighborhood with Thrive Pet Healthcare.
Compensation: $20 - $24 / hour
Schedule: Currently 5 days per week. Once hospital is established we will move to a 4 day work week.

Our Ideal Technician:
The ideal candidate is a positive person, who works well on a team, loves clients and treats our client's furry family members as their own. Has 2 or more years of experience. Anesthesia/Surgery skills preferred, but not required. A licensed/registered technician is a plus!
Some of the duties of our Veterinary Technicians include:

Client education

Proficient venipuncture, IV-catheter, and injection administration skills

Full knowledge of set-up & positioning patients for digital radiographs & dental prophylaxis

Appropriate collection, set-up, and interpretation of in-house laboratory & cytology tests

Proficient ability to monitor anesthesia & assist the Veterinarian in surgical procedures

Performing dental prophylaxis.

Spring Garden is a neighborhood in central Philadelphia, which is bordered by Center City on the north. The area is an up-and-coming residential area with Victorian brownstones and gardens. It is also known for its gardens, museums, child-friendly parks, and numerous bistros and cafes.
