Job Summary:
Advise/Support all aspects of mechanical maintenance. Experience in managing maintenance functions and leading personnel engaged in manufacturing blow molded containers; verifiable abilities in development and ongoing management of maintenance/PM programs for production equipment (mainly Bekum, also desire Uniloy, Aoki, etc. ), downstream equipment (trimmers/leak detectors, etc.), and facilities systems (HVAC/chilled water/compressors). Knowledge of blow molding processes, budgeting, leadership, safety, and staff development. Maintain a safe working environment that is clean and well organized. Perform other duties as required and or assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in SAFETY & HOUSE KEEPING program and adhere to all COMPANY POLICIES/PROCEDURES!
- Advise, Support, and monitor activities relating to mechanical maintenance with setting-up, maintaining and troubleshooting blow molding and plant systems equipment to achieve maximum efficiencies with minimal downtime, producing in-spec containers to support operations and sales
- Identify root causes of equipment failure, develop action plan to address causes, assist teams to respond, and follow up to ensure project completion
- Fabricate parts as needed for repairs
- Utilize industrial electrician skills to work on electrical components
- Develop, organize, schedule, and lead preventive maintenance programs for all production equipment (Bekum, including support equipment) and facilities maintenance systems (HVAC/compressors/chilled water/air handling)
- Work with logic controllers and low voltage systems
- Provide technical support to production staff
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve overall equipment efficiency
- Assist in technical sales by providing insights on equipment functionality
Qualifications:
- Provide your own hand tools that are in good working order and adhere to OSHA standards
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with welding techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in field service is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
