SkyBreak Therapy is an outpatient pediatric therapy clinic in Boise that is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the team! We believe in creating a brighter future for each child and need someone who can help in this vision.
We are seeking an individual who is compassionate, caring and supportive to each child and their needs.
This is a great opportunity to work with children of all ages to succeed and develop the skills they need to thrive. You would be working with a small team and have on-going support.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and build a caseload to meet the therapy needs of children of all ages and abilities, including behavioral, emotional regulation, gm and fm skills, sensory, visual perceptual skills, ADL's and more.
- Address each client’s specific needs to support engagement in occupations that affect their health, well-being and life quality
- Apply theory-based interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)
- Teach clients effective new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
- Train clients in the use of adaptive equipment, as needed
- Guide, train and educate family members and caregivers on tools they can use at home or on a regular basis
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
- Provide Assessments to new incoming patients and managing documentation associated with caseload.
- Collect data and document processes followed
- Regularly meet with and follow-up with COTA's as needed/assigned, clients and their family, school, caregivers, etc.
- Collaborate and problem solve difficult client situations with pediatric therapy team members

Personal and Professional Skills Needed:
- Proven working experience as a pediatric occupational therapist
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
- Masters degree or greater in Occupational Therapy
- Must be licensed as a OT in the state of Idaho.
- Maintain positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, clients, family members and other facility personnel
- Hands-on experience with electronic medical records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage patients and families with different types of personalities
- Current knowledge of treatment practices and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
- Project a positive and professional image at all times.
- Report to work on time and coordinates schedule to achieve success with the families you work with
- New graduates who have completed fieldwork in pediatric therapy are encouraged to apply
- Feeding experience desired, but not necessary.

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits, starting at $33 dollars per hour and up depending on experience.
