RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that's seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Corporate Accountant to join their finance team in Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, preferably with a Big 4 firm, and corporate accounting experience. This role is critical in managing their accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing financial insights to support the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general ledger accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Coordinate and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Conduct technical accounting research and prepare technical memos on complex accounting issues
- Support the preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders and external partners, including private equity investors
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and recommend improvements as necessary
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus
- 3-7+ years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for candidates with Big 4 public accounting background
- Proven corporate accounting experience, with an understanding of the challenges and dynamics of a PE-backed environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide actionable financial insights
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
