Electrical Superintendent

Pay is $86,400 to 95,000 based on experience
We are seeking an Electrical Superintendent to join TEP Electric. As part of our team, you oversee multiple crews and implement the installation of large-scale electrical systems. You manage work sequencing, interpret blueprints and schematics, and ensure safe and timely completion of all projects. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, and our ideal candidate possesses significant prior experience organizing and administering multiple crews on large work sites. You should have ample experience with installation and construction processes, as well as experience with blueprint reading, electrical schematics, wiring, conduit work, and thorough knowledge of workplace safety practices.
Responsibilities:
1. Complete Phase 1 objectives as per the “Superintendent Milestone” program:
a. Review Scope, plans and layouts provided by the Project Manager
b. Review project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, contract scope and performance standards.
c. Review project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
d. Review other job pertinent information such as permits, submittals, service gear cut sheets, lighting package submittals, etc provided by the Project Manager.
1. Work with project manager to develop the entire project schedule and determine the need for the staffing type.
2. Maintain the projects schedule by monitoring the project’s progress; coordinating activities; and troubleshooting.
3. Review as needed and generate weekly look ahead of production.
4. Capture material needs and submit the weekly material order request along foreman once it has been forecasted.
5. Work with foreman on creating activity lists for crew’s daily duties.
6. Attend weekly jobsite coordination meetings with the General contractor to discuss scheduling/production/safety.
7. Perform quality control for the work that is being performed.
8. Communicate with the Project manager regularly regarding ASI’s, RFI and materials.
9. Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
10. Identify conflicts in the construction process and communicate to the project Managers for resolution.
11. Identify areas of work outside of contracted scope and work with project manager in order to determine cost, impact on the schedule and communication with the general contractor.
12. Check Daily log of activities from the jobsite periodically and notify project manager once they are completed.
13. Perform job progress and punch list identification for job completion.
14. Conduct and own project cycle counts, and work with project manager on material cost control.
15. Ensure foreman submits daily sheets with hourly employees’ information.
16. Identify staffing needs and coordinate with senior management for crew coordination.
17. Identity the needs for foreman, electrician and helpers, and start the hiring process.
18. Interview candidates with senior management and submit final decision for approval.
19. Ensure all materials are on site and accounted/signed for before project starts.
20. Act as the main subject matter expert on site. Ensure proper electrical code enforcing.
21. Act as the main driver for safety on the jobsite.
22. Receive, inventory, and secure delivered materials, confirming that materials delivered match order released to vendor.
