Our hospice team is looking for a Licensed Foot Care Specialist to be contracted to our Salem and McMinnville team. The role is primarily focused on face-to-face encounters with home-bound patients
The team offers mileage reimbursement, an efficient process, scheduling based on your availability, and a well supportive team managed by the Director of Clinical Services and Medical Director.
This position is ideal for someone with another practice or is looking for a part time flexible position.
JOB SUMMARY:
A personal foot care nurse completes the daily tasks that allow for the treatment and prevention of foot health issues related to diabetes and other diseases. They serve as a valuable resource for information that helps patients manage their own health for long-term wellness.
Licensure/Certification: Current License as a Certified Foot Care Specialist
Experience: 6 months - 1 year preferably, but new grad accepted
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current auto liability insurance.
Environmental and Working Conditions: Will go to the patients either in the facilities or patient’s homes in various conditions; possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids and infectious diseases; ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather conditions.
Physical and Mental Effort: Ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing and standing. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs and to meet patient/ family individualized psycho social needs. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
