Job Description: Junior-level Financial Advisor supporting a team of Senior Financial Advisors
Position Title: Associate Financial Advisor

Reports To: Senior Financial Advisor/Managing Partner
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Financial Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the financial services industry, preferably possess a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) license, and exhibit exceptional analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate will provide sound financial advice, develop customized financial plans, and deliver exceptional service to help our clients achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Investment Advisory Services, Client Consultation and Financial Planning:
- Conduct thorough client consultations to evaluate the client’s financial situation, needs, and objectives.
- Develop customized financial plans for clients, encompassing budgeting, savings, investments, insurance, retirement planning, and more.
- Utilize financial planning software and tools to create comprehensive and accurate plans.
- Establish and maintain client accounts in accordance with the client’s financial goals and risk tolerance.
2. Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring regular communication and ongoing support.
- Conduct periodic reviews of clients’ financial plans and portfolio performance, adjusting as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions and transactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
- Adhere to all industry regulations and legal requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of compliance rules.
4. Business Development:
- Identify and act on opportunities to attract new clients and expand the firm’s book of business.
- Network and cultivate relationships within the community to generate referrals and set up new client meetings.
- Participate in marketing initiatives, client seminars, and community events to enhance the firm’s visibility and reputation.
5. Professional Development:
- Stay informed of industry developments, market conditions, and new financial products.
- Pursue continuing education opportunities to maintain and enhance professional credentials.
- Mentor junior advisors and support staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Advisor or in a comparable role within the financial services industry.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification preferred.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or 66) licenses, and state insurance licenses.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Money Guide Pro planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
