OVERALL FUNCTION
The Paraplanner position will play an integral role in supporting and in guiding our financial advisors throughout the planning process and will be vital to growing our business. Without this role, our advisors could not devote their full efforts to our clients; therefore, we view this role as central to our success as an overall team.

This role require that you have…
· One of the following designations: ChFC® or CFP®
· Your Series 7 and prior trading experience
· Your Illinois Life & Health License; or to obtain it within the first three months after hire
· At least 2 years or more of experience in financial planning or in the financial services industry
· A Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field, preferred
· A broad knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Ability to assess client needs and convey your recommendations clearly and concisely.
· Remain current with updates to security-related products, the markets, and to industry regulations
Financial Planning
· Workflow manager for client meeting materials
· Communication with clients and advisors to determine the needs or goals
· Plan construction from start to finish
· Adhere to our planning philosophy of Protect, Grow, Optimize.
· Conveying recommendations to advisor based off of client’s goals and gaps present in the plan
· Ability to sit in on a client meeting to explain the intricacies and details that go into the plan as well as to provide the rationale behind the recommendations
· Act as a resource for the advisors and as a liaison between our team and the advanced planning team or other outside consultants
SALARY & BENEFITS
· $65,000 - $95,000 base salary (depending on licenses, credentials, and experience)
