Job Description
We are seeking an experienced or trainable Audio Visual Coordinator to arrange all of the audio visual details for group events and programs.
Tuscarora Inn and Conference Center’s mission statement is to serve the Christian community by providing programs and facilities for worship, teaching, counseling, and physical refreshment, focusing on the Bible as a standard for living.
General Duties
1. Communicate all audio visual needs with group leaders alongside the group ministry staff.
2. Work closely with the Program Manager regarding audio visual needs for Tuscarora events including speaker and worship leader needs, retreat slides, order of services, session videos, sound check times and special events.
3. Set up and test all audio visual prior to the arrival of Group Retreats, Tuscarora Programs, Banquets and other special events. Clean up all equipment after the event and store neatly.
4. Oversee and operate sound boards and lighting boards for events and presentations, ensuring optimal audio and visual experiences. Collaborate with event organizers to plan and execute successful audio-visual setups.
5. Maintain and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment, including but not limited to projectors, sound systems, microphones, and video conferencing systems in all areas of the ministry. Ensure the quality and functionality of audiovisual equipment in auditoriums, meeting rooms, and other designated areas.
6. Develop and manage budgets for audiovisual and technology-related projects and ongoing maintenance. Negotiate contracts and service agreements to optimize cost-effectiveness. Track expenses, report variances, and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
Competencies
1. Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field (e.g., Audio Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics)
2. Proven experience in audiovisual management
3. Strong technical skills and knowledge of audiovisual equipment and software
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
