Experience in exam development, test administration, item writing, or academic classroom instruction is preferred.
The HR Personnel Services Specialist's main responsibility is to provide advanced professional work in the creation of open-competitive and promotional examinations while using Departmental source materials. This main task will include conducting pre- and post-subject matter expert meetings, preparing for open-competitive and promotional exam administrations, reviewing statistics for exam accuracy, calculating seniority points, and creating Master Eligible Lists with the compiled scores of tested applicants. The incumbent will exercise considerable judgment and must effectively communicate with and interact tactfully and persuasively with departmental and agency representatives.
