Our client is responsible for landmark projects and developments across the region. They are seeking to add a Compliance / Property Manager to their team.
$90k – $110k
The Compliance / Property Manager works in affordable/low-income housing. The ideal candidate for the Compliance / Property Manager role will work with the Property Management teams and other departments that are following affordable housing guidelines.
- Monitors Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Project-Based Section 8, HOME, PBV, and other tenant subsidy or project-based programs.
- Determines initial eligibility and ensures continued eligibility.
- Provides extensive enforcement, monitoring, and support to the company management portfolio.
- Provides routine assistance in site preparation of inspections, assistance in site audits, and timely completion of recertifications.
- Assists with assessing, enhancing, and improving operations.
- Performs detailed internal audits of tenant files.
- Reviews prepares, and makes necessary updates, revisions, and/or amendments to policies and departmental procedures.
- Receives, processes, and maintains initial housing applications for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), public housing, and site-based section 8 programs.
- Updates flat rent, maximum rent, and income limit schedules.
- Prepares and submits monthly compliance activity reports.
- Prepares notification letters to residents, regarding updates/changes in policies.
- Processes tenant refund requests and finalizes move-out files for all sites.
- 5+ years in property management/affordable housing.
- High attention to detail, organization skills, and accountability are required.
- Certifications: Tax Credit (Spectrum C3P, NAHMA SHCM, and or HCCP) and HUD (NAHMA CPO and/or NCHM COS).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently both in verbal and written skills.
- Ability to use Management software like Yardi – Rightsource.
- Ability to travel in Boston is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus!
