Job Overview:
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing and implementing health and safety plans, enforcing policies, and evaluating practices and facilities to ensure compliance with legal guidelines. He/she will conduct training sessions, monitor compliance, investigate accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills / Abilities:
· Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
· Ability to conduct training.
· Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field required.
· 5+ years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial environment required.
· Experience creating and implementing site specific safety plans, SDS Sheets, Health & Safety Manuals.
· Ability to communicate effectively and train employees on safety protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $108,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
