We’re seeking a full-time Showroom Sales Associate for our DutchCrafters showroom. Our showroom is located at 160 N Main Street in Alpharetta. Showroom sales associates will assist customers shopping in our store and guide them through the ordering process. Don’t know much about furniture? Don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
DutchCrafters has been the largest internet retailer of Amish-made furniture for more than 20 years. We are the destination for solid wood, American-made, Amish furniture that is aligned both with your style and with your values. Since 2003, we have sourced our heirloom-quality furniture from the back roads of Amish country in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. We’ve built solid relationships with woodshops and craftsmen there that we know and trust. We connect our customers to personalized, custom-made furniture created by skilled woodworkers. Our Amish furniture and other products are built to be passed down to the next generation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet customers into the store in a friendly, personable manner sharing the DutchCrafters story and the stories of our vendors and furniture.
- Learn customers’ reasons for visiting and assist them with finding the perfect furniture for their home or business.
- Educate customers on options, features, and benefits of DutchCrafters furniture.
- Make connections with customers to develop strong, long-term relationships.
- Build a positive, exceptional customer experience. Exceed our customers’ expectations by providing the highest level of care and service throughout the sales process with excellent communication and a professional appearance.
- Support and work collaboratively with local team, leadership, and others in the company to achieve shared company goals.
- Assist customers with their purchases and explain the post-sale process.
- Ensure orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Communicate with our vendors to obtain customization quotes and answers for product questions.
- Manage store leads and maximize lead conversion through timely follow-up and communication with customers to finalize sales and meet KPI targets.
- Continual learning and education of products, furniture styles, woods and finishes, upholstery, etc.
- Assist as needed with marketing the store in the community through special events and social media.
- Help coordinate, promote, set up and attend in-store and out-of-store events in the community.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the showroom and assist with other duties as assigned.
Performance Expectations:
Results will be measured by the feedback of our customers on their experience, the timely, accurate completion of operational duties and the ability to meet key performance indicators. Expected to be a team player with a positive, friendly attitude treating everyone with dignity and respect.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to be helpful, motivate and build relationships with customers.
- Passionate, driven, people person with positive attitude, enthusiasm, and sales goal oriented.
- Strong work ethic with integrity, self-motivation, and personal responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize follow-up for effective lead pipeline management.
- Extremely detail oriented, ability to multitask and committed to quality.
- Team player.
- Competence with technology including Microsoft Office, google, internet and comfortable using multiple databases. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a plus.
- 2+ years in sales, retail or customer service is preferred. Home furnishings industry or design background is a plus.
- Must be able to lift and move furniture up to 40 pounds with assistance adhering to safety guidelines.
- High school diploma is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, Saturday and Sunday availability is required.
Compensation:
Full-time position with compensation range of $19.00 per hour plus a blend of monthly commissions based on individual revenue generation (unlimited) and a monthly bonus based on achieving the showroom's overall revenue goal (up to $1000). Benefits include PTO, health insurance, 401K, and employee discount.
