Associate Event Producer
Bond Events – Washington DC
Salary based on experience, full-time
Bond Events is a full-service event management and production firm. We specialize in large-scale conferences and gala fundraising productions. Our portfolio includes presidential inaugurations, national memorial dedications, festivals and concerts that draw hundreds of thousands of participants. Our executive team provides our clients with the strategic counsel and guidance they need to successfully navigate the complexities of hosting an out of town conference, including advising design and concept; developing production schedules; managing budgets; and coordinating teams of vendors, staff and volunteers. We also bring our expertise in executing every step for planning and production, providing complete turn-key services.
During the pandemic we were able to successfully pivot our business model to that of producing online events and to become an industry leader in this shift. Since March of 2020 our team has had to become resourceful and manage change, learn new ways of doing business and research digital solutions to event challenges on a daily basis. We attend platform demonstrations regularly and rely on our team members to work through new ideas and test drive concepts.
We are a small firm who has been able to retain a core team of excellent producers during the pandemic. We have seven full time employees with an office based in DC and approximately 6,000 square feet of warehouse spaces, based in Hyattsville, MD.
Our events are located in DC and across the country, with a strong presence in California. Pre pandemic we planned and executed approximately 150 events a year. In 2020 we were able to plan and execute 70 virtual and in person events.
We are currently looking to fill the position of an Associate Event Producer. The Associate Event Producer will learn aspects of the event industry under the guidance of a senior producer. In this role you can expect to do entry level task work, clerical errands and other duties as assigned. As you gain experience on the task work you will grow into the management of larger elements of the event, such as registration management, catering, etc. This role requires excellent attention to detail, follow through on assignments, the willingness to search for, and present solutions to assigned tasks or challenges and a flexible demeanor.
An associate producer needs to be able to learn from others, work independently, manage time and deadlines, and with a team, communicate effectively and ask questions. This person should be polished in presentation and comfortable talking in group settings.
