Responsibilities include but are not limited to...

Provide exemplary customer service. Greet, help & interact with customers in a way that makes them feel valued and appreciated. Assist customers in placing orders efficiently and to their needs. Get to know regular customers' orders.

Graciously answer both specific and general customer questions including roasted coffee, equipment and all product questions.

Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep store running to standard and set a positive example

Operate Point of Sale (POS) and Kitchen Display System (KDS) accurately

Accept payments ensuring prices, quantities, modifiers and change are accurate

Process refunds, exchanges and/or complaints with assistance of MOD as needed

Make note of customer or personal suggestions and pass on to management

Come to work ready to work according to your scheduled start time.

Prepare all menu items efficiently and to the customer's order including hot and cold drinks, espresso drinks and ground coffee to OCC's standards for quality and as presented by espresso trainer.

Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to city mandated health code and OCC standard operating procedures and regulations.

Keep perishable products fresh, rotated and replenished. First In, First Out!

Organize and restock paper goods, baked goods, condiment counters and hard good displays throughout the day. Assist with completing the basement list

Complete all side work "Daily Tasks" including opening and closing duties. Ensure all work is complete before clocking out. If not, communicate with MOD what may need attention.

Assist in production/ portioning of chai, matcha, chocolate and other drinks.

Complete cleaning according to posted schedule at your location

Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment as dictated by maintenance schedule and/or manager request

Mention any comments or concerns including inventory and equipment repairs to your MOD.

Assist in checking in and recovering deliveries

Take initiative to learn and grow on the job. Attend training, initiate tastings and read about coffee during down time.

Coffee Seller/Baristas may be asked if they would like to serve at OCC on or off site catering events as needed.
