Job Overview:
Spirent Positioning Technology designs, manufactures, and supplies advanced satellite navigation test and simulation systems, many of which comprise radio frequency signal generators and computer systems running complex application software; all designed in-house.
As a Senior Application Engineer at Spirent, you’ll play a pivotal role in collaborating with our most influential customers, working on cutting-edge technologies and solutions. Your expertise will contribute to shaping the future of our products and services.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical and application support primarily in pre-sales but also in post-sales situations. To begin with focus will be on the Chipset and Hyperscaler market.
While working closely with customers it would be expected of you to build relationships with them and develop a deep understanding of their use cases, challenges, and requirements. The ability to collaborate with teams across Spirent and manage external relationships is key. This position will report to the Director of Services and involve working with our team in the UK. You will have a close working relationship with peers in Sales, Business Development, Services, and Product management.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and application support primarily in pre-sales but also in post-sales situations.
- Work closely with the Sales Enablement team to generate application-specific materials.
- Engage in complex technical discussions with customers to understand their needs. Utilize deep knowledge of Spirent products and services to align appropriate solutions based on client needs.
- Help design solutions and formulate responses to RFx, deliver POC / demos, and present solutions to customers.
- Liaise closely with engineering, professional services, and tailored solutions teams to address complex customer requests.
- Grow depth of relationships with customers in the Chipset and Hyperscaler markets.
- Staying abreast of developments in GNSS / PNT technologies and test methodologies.
- Provides customer feedback on products, services, and process improvements as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited university, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience which should also include relevant industry experience with GNSS, PNT, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with test automation programming environments including LabView; and Matlab desirable.
- Self-motivated team player with proven problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
- Ability to communicate technical material clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work closely with other people to solve challenging problems.
- Experience using GNSS Test Equipment and/or GNSS receivers is a plus.
- Travel may be required up to 25%
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
