JNS Facility Maintenance is currently seeking a qualified, full-time Field Manager. For over 30 years, JNS has been operating in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas as a local family owned and operated facility maintenance company. With extensive experience in the facilities and cleaning industry, JNS is a service provider which leads by example in professionalism, quality service, and commitment to the highest standards of excellence.
The Field Manager position is a direct supervisory position, responsible for the oversight of all facilities operations and personnel within their assigned accounts. This is a full-time salaried position that reports directly to the Operations Manager. The schedule for this position is flexible but will primarily require work in the evenings. Additionally, this position requires the ability to respond to calls and requests during non-working hours. Spanish speaking ability highly preferred
Responsibilities include:
Personnel Management
- Provides leadership and support to employees and contractors to ensure that quality standards and customer service expectations are met
- Communicates and promotes adherence to operational standards, procedures, and practices and contributes to the overall improvement and development of the company
- Supervises all staff and contractors, including but not limited to: scheduling, monitoring assignment progress and completion, training and development of job-related skills, equipment use, time management, and workplace behavior; evaluating efficiency and aptitude, and providing constructive feedback
- Monitoring hours worked as well as reviewing and approving time cards for payroll processing
- With assistance, participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff and contractors
Administrative/Quality
- Schedules and overlooks specialized services and event cleanings and keeps accurate records of these events and resources used
- Performs routine inspections and evaluates quality of service
- Responds to customer complaints in a timely manner
- Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement through regular audits, corrective actions, and preventative measures
- Identifies and recommends special services
- Logs and communicates through a content-based management software system
- Responds to emergency calls, coordinates prompt action and communicates to crews and management as needed
Inventory Management
- Organizes and maintains supply inventory and equipment at client sites
- Communicates supply needs in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 5 years related experience or a combination of education and experience
- Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism and composure, especially in high-stress or urgent situations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to respond to all routine requests and emergency calls with a sense of urgency
- Proficient in computer usage including Microsoft Office and ability to navigate phone and computer applications
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including responding to after-hours and emergency calls
- Spanish speaking ability is highly preferred
